Our History

Our founder Richard Gall has over 40 years engineering & machine design and building experience, including high volume production, robotic automation, work cells, and special application machinery.

             Ten years ago Superior Parts & Service was started to provide service parts and field service for the Jenkins line of woodworking equipment. Our team of X-Jenkins employees first led us in that direction. We started as an engineer, a mechanic, a machinist, and a service technician with a mission to develop longer lasting service parts that perform better and are half the price of the “OEM”

(Original Equipment Manufactured) part.

 

In the process our satisfied Jenkins customers started asking if they could get a chain rebuilt for a Mereen-Johnson, hold downs for a Challoner, then a new feed chain for a Greenlee, friction pads for a Fletcher, a rebuilt chain for a Torweggee, and now we furnish over 150 wear parts for eighteen different machine makes.

 

Our customers needs have changed the direction, not the mission, of our company. We have shifted our focus towards new and rebuilt feed and hold down chains and their related components such as sprockets, track, including our biggest sellers; polyurethane friction pads, hold down blocks, hold down wheels and rollers.

 

Time has proven the durability of our polyurethane parts. Customers have reported double and triple the life cycle by using our replacements over the OEM’s.

Superior Parts & Service is back to being a family owned and operated company and intends to stay that way. We have tried the partner thing and found out that we should have followed the advice given to us, “partnerships seldom work”. Potential investors  have advised us to outsource parts to China, guaranteeing bigger returns, our opinion is that China is getting too much of Americas work. What good is profit today by sacrificing our future.
